I make a similar soup in winter called &quo...Yummy! I make a similar soup in winter called "ajiaco." The roots are different...typical of a tropical climate. Instead of sweet potato we use a white version called boniato. We use regular potatoes, but also cassava and a few more I can't even translate. The seasonings about the same, with some achiote and maybe even a dash of cumin and safron.<br /><br />It'll put hair on your chest (um, not that we'd want that).
